When we started doing business, Rena Pocrass was the sole designer and creative resource. We've come a long way since then! Today, Chocolates à la Carte operates from a 110,000 square foot plant and has over 200 employees. Rena Pocrass is still the creative inspiration, but she now has a pool of excellent designers on staff, and consults regularly with a large number of world-class pastry chefs. The end result of this increase in creative resources is simply that we can do even more intricate, more sophisticated, more impossible designs in chocolate. Our unique shipping policy offers a good example of our attitude. Instead of considering shipping chocolate as a problem, we developed exclusive packaging techniques which enable us to ship anywhere, anytime with a 95% guarantee against breakage. We keep an inventory of 40 to 50 of our most popular chocolate designs so we can offer same-day shipping with over-night delivery on orders received by noon Pacific Time. Customers ordering any of our more than 1000 made to order original designs should allow a minimum of 5 working days for us to produce and ship their order, longer for custom orders.
