C-CAP Event
Chocolates à la Carte is
proud to provide support to a wonderful organization called C-CAP,
Careers through Culinary Arts Program. C-CAP’s mission is
to promote and provide food service career opportunities for underserved
youth. Through scholarships, programs and training, those you might
not otherwise have the opportunity to get the chance to move into
the enriching field of the culinary arts.
This past May Rena Pocrass attended
C-CAP’s Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony held at the Beverly
Hills Four Seasons Hotel. Chocolates à la Carte was honored
to provide a lovely young student a $1200 scholarship. The event
is always very rewarding to see so many hardworking students and
future chefs accomplish such wonderful goals.
Wolfgang Puck Event
Chocolates à la Carte is preparing to participate
again this year in the 24th Annual American Wine & Food Festival
on September 16, 2006 in support of the Puck Lazaroff Charitable
Foundation to benefit Meals on Wheels Program. Meals on Wheels strives
to provide food to feed homebound elderly and disabled. The event
is always such a success thanks to the continued support we are
fortunate enough to receive from several volunteer chefs.
Food Fete Event
For the first time Chocolates à la Carte
attended the summer edition Food Fete Event this July in New York
City. Food Fete is a marketing and PR event that is an exclusive
invitation-only press reception that showcases the latest specialty
food, beverage and gourmet house wares products to top food and
lifestyle journalists. Last summer, more than 60 journalists attended.
Currently, they have more than 40 on the RSVP list, including editors/producers
from Al Roker Productions, O at Home, Food & Wine, Saveur, Real
Simple, Woman's Day, Ladies' Home Journal, For Me, Epicurious, Time,
Newsweek, Forbes.com and Brides, among others. |
